Scriptures for Raising the Self-Esteem
Here are some scriptures when you are feeling doubts about
who you are, where you come from, where you are headed.
Creation:
Gen. 1:27 – So God created man in his own image, in the
image of God created he him; male and female created he them. God blessed them… and have dominion over the
fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that
moves upon the earth. And God saw
everything that he had made and behold it was very good…
After each day of creation, God said that it was good. After the crowning creation of making man,
He looked at everything and said that it was VERY GOOD. He gave man dominion to conquer over
everything.
You Are Precious In His Sight:
Lamentations 4:2 – The precious sons of Zion, comparable to
fine gold, how are they esteemed as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of
the potter!
Isaiah 43:4 – Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou
hast been honourable, and I have loved thee:
therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.
You Are A Peculiar Treasure To God:
Exodus 19:5 – Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice
indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me
above all people: for all the earth is
mine:
Deut. 32:10-12 – He found him in a desert land, and in the
waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as
the apple of his eye. As an eagle stirs
up her nest, flutters over her young, spreads abroad her wings, takes them,
bears them on her wings: So the Lord
alone did lead him…
God Has Positive Plans For You:
Jeremiah 29:11 – For I know the plans I have for you,
declares the Lord, plans for wholeness and not for evil, to give you a future
and a hope.
John 10:10 – I come that they might have life and that they
might have it more abundantly.
God Loves You:
John 3: 16 – For God so loved the world that He gave his
only begotten son that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have
everlasting life.
Everything that God created has value, therefore… YOU have
value… God don’t make junk. He made you
to have dominion over all things; you are precious in his sight; you are a
peculiar treasure to God; God has great plans for you; Jesus, because He loves
you, died in your place so that you might live with Him in His kingdom.
Need a little boost to get you through the day, don’t reach
for caffeine, reach for the Bible and find treasures of promises in it.
